Endoscopy fees: what to clarify before you confirm
An enquiry about fees should help you understand what is being quoted.
Published 12 October 2026 · Zendale Endoscopy Centre

A useful price is a clearly explained price
An enquiry about fees should help you understand what is being quoted. A headline figure is only a starting point if you do not know what it includes. Ask the centre to explain the planned examination and the items covered by the quotation before you make arrangements.
Confirm the procedure first
Gastroscopy, colonoscopy and ERCP are different examinations. The cost discussion should relate to the procedure actually being considered for you. If your referral is unclear or you are not sure which examination is needed, ask for clinical guidance rather than choosing only by price.
Ask what is included
Clarify whether the quotation includes consultation, the examination, sedation, consumables and recovery arrangements. Ask whether tissue sampling, laboratory analysis or additional treatment is charged separately. You do not need to know every technical term; ask the team to explain each item in everyday language.
Plan for changes that may need discussion
The clinical plan may involve a conversation about further investigation or treatment. Ask how any additional charge would be explained and agreed. Knowing the process for a change is different from predicting that a change will be necessary. A clear process helps avoid surprises.
If another organisation is paying
An employer, insurer or family member may need written information before payment is arranged. Find out which documents are required, who supplies them and whether authorisation is complete. Do not assume an appointment request means financial approval has already been obtained.
Keep records and ask questions early
Save the quotation and any payment instructions. Confirm the contact route for a billing question and discuss uncertainty before the appointment. At Zendale, you can ask about fees through the enquiry form or contact the team directly. Individual preparation and clinical decisions should still be confirmed with the clinical team.
